Völkerverständigung der anderen Art - Die Toten Hosen in Island Die Idee, sich für ein Toten Hosen Wohnzimmerkonzert zu bewerben war eigentlich so verrückt, dass es sich fast wie ein Traum anhörte. Doch dann wurde der Entschluss gefasst das Projekt zu starten und es wurde ein Bewerbungsvideo gedreht. Natürlich an den attraktivsten Orten Islands: Geysir und den heißen Quellen, dem Wasserfall Gullfoss, in downtown Reykjavik und als Highlight an Bord des Walbeobachtungsschiffes ANDREA. www.lifeofwhales.is - Walbeobachtung in Island. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MUkgvzq7I9w Die Wartezeit auf Antwort erschien endlos, doch es folgten bald Vorfreude und Vorbereitungszeit. Und dann waren Sie auf mal da: Die Toten Hosen! In der tanzenden Menge ließ sich wohl kaum ausmachen wer Isländer ist und wer Deutscher; Völkerverständigung par excellence! Im Anschluss an das Konzert besuchten die Toten Hosen die Drehorte des Bewerbungsvideos. An Bord der ANDREA bekamen wir Schweinswale, Zwergwale und sogar Buckelwale zu sehen. Life of Whales freut sich zu diesem erfolgreichen Projekt beigetragen zu haben und natürlich auf einen Sommer mit deutschen Guides in jeder Tour.

Tomorrow we celebrate the first day of summer in Iceland!
It is called „Sumardagurinn fyrsti“ and an official holiday, marked red in every calender. Typically on this day it does not matter to the icelanders how the weather actually is: Everybody wears T- Shirts and Shorts / Skirts / Summerdresses – even if it snows! Also there is a big meet and greet in Reykjavik and all coffeehouses are crowded. It is a tradition to walk down the main shopping streets in summer clothes and meet friends in the city. And since it is a free day many people use it for activities. This year however we expect sunshine and temperatures up to +6°C. No snow. Life of Whales gives you the opportunity to sail out for a whale watching tour off the old harbour in Reykjavik and enjoy the first day of summer aboard. According to the spottings of the last days we expect a lot of life out in the Bay. For the Trip at 12:55 you do not have to adopt to icelandic dressing habits but are welcome to make use of the overalls available on board. Also we porvide seats inside for every passenger and the comfortable café lounge. We are looking forward to celebrate this day together with you!
