Life of Whales is based in the old harbor in Reykjavik and has been operating the whale watching ship ANDREA for 6 years now - which is the biggest whale watching ship in Iceland. You will find our ticket sales and information center by the Old Harbour in Reykjavík. You may enter the ship about 30 minutes before departure and a have a coffee or other refreshment sold on board in our Café Lounge & Souvenir shop.
Our ship is very stable, comfortable and with excellent viewing decks. All passengers can have a seat inside the ship so they don't have to stand or sit outside on the deck. Inside the boat we have seats for over 150 people. All our passengers will have a good space, good seat and a good view in all directions when we are looking for the whales. When standing outside on the deck, passengers can borrow warm overalls so they won´t get cold or just warm up inside in the heat with some nice hot chocolate.
We are pleased to announce that Special Tours & Life of Whales have now entered into a merger agreement. Both companies have operated in the travel industry for numerous years offering excursions on sea from Reykjavik´s old harbour. The merger between these two companies will further strengthen our position in the travel industry and we will be able to provide our customers with better service, extended fleet & passenger capacity as well as a large increase in departures.
